Why your expiration date matters more now
With renewal by examination eliminated, there is no fallback for a certificant who reaches expiration without a complete renewal file.
ANCC allows no grace period and no backdating. A certification lapsed within two years may be reactivated by meeting the renewal requirements in effect at the time of the reactivation application.
